Australis Figures is a studio in Buenos Aires. Every edition is built around one specific painting technique, and the sculpt is designed to show that technique off: the figure is a collectible object and a workshop reference at the same time.
Who makes it
From painters, for painters.
We built Australis to produce, locally, figures designed to be painted — made by local artists. We took inspiration from what has been growing fast in Europe: a whole circuit of studios shaping pieces meant for the brush, not just the display shelf.
That offer barely exists in Latin America. There are very few good-quality figures designed for a painter to try different techniques and colour schemes on — and that gap is exactly why we decided to make them ourselves.
